Kim Sharp

Kim Sharp was the VP – Diversity and Inclusion. responsible for leading the strategic planning, development and implementation of diversity and inclusion programs throughout HCA’s 170+ hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, and other areas of operations to ensure diversity and inclusion strategies are embedded in all aspects of business operations.

In 2005, Kim worked with Division Leadership to educate and empower hospital level executives towards the development of facility specific Diversity and Inclusion plans. These plans are being deployed at the community level with national support through enterprise wide infrastructure and training programs.

In 2006, leadership accountability was defined through the development of five year goal and work plans for all senior officers. Prior to being named Vice President of Diversity in 2005, Kim served as Vice President of Retirement Programs and Employee Communications for HCA.

Kim serves on the boards of the Center for Women’s Health Research at Meharry Medical College, CommunityNashville (previously known as the National Conference for Community and Justice), the National Association of Latino Health Executives and the American Leadership Council for Diversity in Healthcare. Kim also serves on the BENCHMARK initiative for the Nashville Chamber of Commerce to ensure diversity and inclusion strategies are embedded in all Chamber operations.
